Terms of use

1. What you are buying

You are buying a licence to use MExplorer, not the software itself. A licence key unlocks the four disk-analysis tools: Cleanup, Storage by app, Duplicate finder, and Disk map. The file-management side — browsing, copying, moving, renaming, deleting, searching, the log and undo — is free and never locked, whether or not you hold a key.

2. Payment

Payment is collected through PayPal. You may pay with a PayPal account, or with a Visa, Mastercard, Amex or JCB card on PayPal's own form — that form does not require you to have a PayPal account. Your card details are handled by PayPal; MOBILUCK never sees or stores them.

Prices are listed in US dollars. If your card or account is in another currency, your bank or PayPal converts at their own rate and may add a fee — that difference does not come to us. Your key is issued automatically as soon as PayPal confirms the payment.

3. One key, two Macs

A 29 USD key covers two Macs at a time, paid once, with no expiry. The licence is filed under the email address you bought with. When you activate, the app sends our server a one-way hash of the machine together with the Mac's name — never the hardware ID itself, and nothing about your files.

To say it plainly: the two-Mac limit is enforced — but it is never a trap. In Settings ▸ Licence you can release a Mac you no longer use, as many times as you like, then activate the new one. Reinstalling or restoring from a backup still uses the same key.

Once activated, the certificate stays on your Mac and is permanent: the app never calls our licence server again. Our server going down cannot lock you out of a Mac you have already activated — only activating an additional Mac needs the network. And the file-management side needs no key at all, so you can never be locked out of your own files.

You may not resell, rent, publicly share, or post your key where others can take it. Keys found published will be invalidated in later releases.

4. Updates

All 1.x updates are free. A 2.0, if it happens, will be a separate paid release; you are never required to move to it.

5. Data

MExplorer sends usage statistics and crash reports, and there is no switch to turn this off. It never sends file names, paths or file contents. The full detail is on the Privacy page — read it before buying if that matters to you.

6. Warranty and liability

MExplorer operates on your files, including deleting them. The software is provided “as is”. MOBILUCK does not warrant that it will run without fault on every configuration.

Keep backups. No file manager is a substitute for a backup, and this one is no exception — Trash, an operation log and undo included. MOBILUCK’s liability in any case will not exceed what you paid for your key.

Nothing here excludes liability that the law does not allow to be excluded.

7. Taxes

Prices are in USD. Depending on where you live, import duty or value-added tax may apply and is your responsibility.

This document is published in every language the MExplorer website speaks. The translations are provided so you can read the terms in your own language; where a translation and the English differ in meaning, the English version governs. This does not affect your statutory rights in your country of residence.
